Supported Sonos devices

The 1Home Sonos integration works with any Sonos S2-era player visible in your Sonos app. This page sets expectations for which speaker classes and features are supported, and which Sonos-specific features remain in the Sonos app.

Table of contents

Sonos platform requirements

The integration communicates with Sonos over the Sonos cloud API, which is an S2-only API. You will need:

  • A Sonos household configured in the Sonos app.
  • Sonos speakers that are S2-compatible.

Older S1-only households cannot authenticate with the current Sonos cloud API and are not supported. If your household mixes S1 and S2 players, only the S2 players are available to 1Home.

Supported speaker classes

Every Sonos S2-era speaker exposes the same capability surface in 1Home — playback controls, volume and mute, grouping, audio clips, favorites and playlists, and KNX mapping all work across the lineup. The classes below are intended as a quick reference for what falls under "supported":

List below was last updated in April 2026. Future Sonos speakers should also work out of the box baring large changes on the Sonos API side.

  • Stationary speakers — Era 100, Era 300, Five, One, One SL, Play:*, Symfonisk
  • Portable speakers — Move, Move 2, Roam, Roam 2
  • Soundbars — Arc, Arc Ultra, Beam, Ray, Playbar, Playbase
  • Amplifiers — Amp, Connect:Amp, Port
  • Architectural speakers — In-Ceiling, In-Wall, and Outdoor speakers driven by a Sonos amplifier

Battery level, charging state, and other portable-specific diagnostics are not surfaced in 1Home — check the Sonos app for those.

Voice-assistant and Sonos-specific features

The following features live inside the Sonos app or on the speaker itself and are not surfaced in 1Home:

  • Voice Control via Alexa or Google Assistant on Sonos speakers — configured in the Sonos app.
  • Trueplay room tuning — runs from the Sonos iOS app.
  • Sonos Radio stations, personalized radio, and Sonos-specific music services — selectable from Sonos; once saved as a favorite they are available in 1Home as any other favorite.
  • Night Sound and Speech Enhancement on soundbars — Sonos app.
  • TV input and surround setup for soundbars — Sonos app.

The 1Home integration focuses on playback control, grouping, favorites / playlists, and audio clips. Anything that changes how a speaker is configured stays in Sonos.

Not supported

  • Sonos S1-only households — the integration cannot authenticate against the S1 platform.
  • Sonos Headphones (Ace) — even if your Sonos account lists a pair, they do not appear in the household view and cannot be controlled from 1Home.
