Release v5.0.0

Released: 2025-11-19

Release Notes

Added:

  • Graphs: Visualize how the thermostat is performing comparing the setpoint and actual temperature over time. Create custom graphs, you can even track specific KNX group addresses and for example compare how room presence affects when the lights turn on and off. Read more
  • Traffic Monitor: History of all group events on the KNX bus and on the 1Home device, so you can answer why did the thermostat setpoint change. You can also send KNX group events directly to the bus, no need to open ETS group monitor anymore. Read more
  • Automations: Lua scripting block. You can now write custom Lua scripts in Automations and interact with 1Home devices, KNX TP bus and make HTTP(S) calls. Read more
  • KNX Remote Access v2, fully redesigned with better security, reliability and speed. As well as dedicated cloud infrastructure for the Asia-Pacific region to reduce latency and improve reliability. Read more
  • UI: Home page of dashboard is now the overview page, which gives a condensed status summary of the device and its operation.
  • KNX: On Thermostat device type with heating and cooling support, option to change the setpoint management behavior.
  • KNX: Light Color advanced option to define the behavior when turning on the light using color value.
  • 1Home Server KNX Bridge support for Scenes.
  • Anonymous opt-in analytics (see section below).

Changed:

  • KNX: When changing the color temperature of a Light Color device type, do not change the brightness.
  • Automations: Logs are now by default disabled for automations in order to preserve disk space. You can manually enable logging by opening the automation and clicking on settings.
  • Loxone: Previously with heating and cooling thermostat we would have two thermostat setpoints (heating and cooling setpoint), when performing switchover from heating to cooling or vice verse, we would override the setpoint set by Loxone. We now internally sync the heating and cooling setpoints (there is only one setpoint) and upon switchover we let Loxone define the setpoint.

Fixed:

  • KNX: Fix corner case where in certain very rare cases a KNX device would never come online.
  • KNX: With applications that speak kelvin instead of Matter's mireds (such as: 1Home Automations, 1Home mobile app, Crestron integration) with KNX Color Temperature lights bypass the mireds double conversion and communicate directly via kelvins with the KNX device.
  • KNX: Fix fan with only one level not working via Matter Bridge.
  • KNX: Fix KNX Time Server DPT 10.001 not reporting the day of the week when it was Sunday.
  • Loxone: Fix mapping via Matter Controller to better handle Loxone light moods - previously when switching between Loxone moods, due to color conversion error from Matter's side, Loxone would detect the latest light values different from the pre-set mood. Now we skip values from Matter for a 2 second window when changing the light via Loxone.
  • Automations: Fix issue that would cause the automation to fail if the when block received a KNX GroupRead telegram.
  • Automations: Optimize running lots of automations at the same time.
  • Matter Bridge: Fix cases where after a power outage in certain installations due to customer's network boot times the Matter Bridge component would not get picked up by smart home assistants (Apple Home, Google Home, etc.) requiring a restart of the 1Home device. In case no connections to the Matter Bridge are established, we automatically restart the Matter Bridge component to mitigate customer's power outage related issues.
  • Matter Controller: Fix internal conversion issue when a Matter brightness sensor would report 0 lux. The value would appear as a very large number and would propagate to 1Home mobile app and Automations.
  • Matter Controller: Fix issue where an incorrectly implemented Matter device, often a Matter Bridge, could break the Matter controller implementation in such a way that the dashboard could not display all devices.
  • Matter Controller: Added Philips Hue Bridge Pro to our mitigation list (which was introduced for Philips Hue Bridge in 1Home v4.0.0) for incorrect brightness behavior - when setting brightness to 0%, it would set it to 1%.

Anonymous opt-in analytics

As a privacy-first product, we still need to make the correct decisions on what to build next. Without real insights into how our products are being used, we are left guessing about where to focus our efforts. By sharing basic, anonymous data (no personal data collected), you can help our team create a much better product, faster and tailored to the features you actually use. We will handle your trust responsibly and with utmost care. All the data you share:

  • is anonymous,
  • is used solely to guide product improvements and resolve issues more quickly, it is never shared with any 3rd parties and
  • is only collected if it helps inform our decision-making.

Anonymous analytics is opt-in. If you decide to opt-in, you can at any time opt-out by changing your privacy settings in the 1Home device's dashboard under the System tab.
